Our Team
Nicole Suhre has been with St. Tammany Hospital Foundation since 2006 and became the Executive Director in 2016. She graduated from the University of New Orleans with a degree in Communications and also holds the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential.
Nicole is proud to lead a team of talented non-profit professionals as they all work together with the Foundation's Board of Trustees to connect the community with our mission.
When asked what she loves most about working for the foundation, she says, "I truly enjoy the sense of purpose I have while raising money for a worthy cause. I go home at night knowing that the work I do helps make my little corner of the world a better place for my family, friends and neighbors, and what could be better than that?"

Emily joined the St. Tammany Health System family in February of 2016 and the foundation family in early 2018. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor's degree in History.
Among her many roles, Emily serves as the staff liaison to the foundation's Board of Trustees, oversees foundation funds and disbursements, and manages the Foundation's donor stewardship and database programs.
When asked what she enjoys most about working for the foundation, Emily says "The most rewarding aspect of what we do at St. Tammany Hospital Foundation is helping the generous donors in our community achieve their philanthropic goals of improving the health and wellbeing of their families, friends, and neighbors."

Melanie Rudolph joined the St. Tammany Hospital Foundation team in July of 2016. She graduated from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) with a degree in Communication Studies.
Melanie's role includes organizing a portfolio of special events, including Monster Mash, Angels of Light, THE Gala and the Get Lucky! Golf Tournament annually. Additionally, Melanie oversees the Foundation's corporate giving and stewardship program, as well as managing the Foundation's external communications and social media pages.
When asked what she loves most about working for the foundation, she says, "St. Tammany Parish is my home for life, and St. Tammany Health System is where I receive care. It is the most rewarding accomplishment of all to raise funds to support a key component to what makes this community so great."

Kathleen Gross Thomas joined the St. Tammany Hospital Foundation team in March of 2023. She will work out of the comprehensive, state-of-the-art St. Tammany Cancer Center, a campus of Ochsner Medical Center.
Kathleen’s role includes assisting donors in making true impacts on healthcare and their community through the major gift program that includes naming opportunities, corporate giving, grants and direct program and patient support. Additionally, Kathleen directs the development program to raise awareness of and funds in support of all cancer services provided by St. Tammany Health System and its partners.
When asked what she loves most about working for the foundation, she says, “Getting the opportunity to help assist people make an impact on our community in a meaningful way to their heart. I am also excited to connect with patients, supporters, their loved ones and the St. Tammany Hospital System to do my part to make better access to healthcare close to home.”

Doug Walker joined St. Tammany Hospital Foundation in March of 2018. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in History.
Doug is responsible for executing a comprehensive annual support program, including major gifts, donor stewardship, third-party events, employee campaign, direct mail and other internal communications and volunteer coordination.
When asked what he enjoys most about working for the foundation, he says, "St. Tammany Health System is an excellent hospital with dedicated staff, administrators and volunteers who come together to make a difference for patients in the Northshore community. In my experience, this level of commitment from so many people to an organization's success from top-to-bottom is rare, and it's an honor to be a part of such a vital pillar of this community's wellbeing."
