Power of Pink
Meet Heidi, a breast cancer survivor who made a courageous decision that saved her life. After a routine mammogram revealed concerning findings in her left breast, Heidi consulted with Doctors Buonagura and Tandon and opted for a double mastectomy. This decision proved critical, as cancer was also found in her right breast. Heidi's story highlights the importance of regular screenings in detecting and preventing life-altering situations like hers. Let's come together to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer care. Our 2024 campaign, presented by Timeless Touch Medical Aesthetics, focuses on the importance of early detection and offers various ways to get involved. You can attend community-wide screening events on the Be Well Bus, sign the pink-wrapped St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office vehicle, participate in community business Give Back events, grab an official campaign t-shirt for 2024 and much more.
Your support will benefit St. Tammany Health System's important work in education, breast cancer screenings, early detection initiatives, survivorship programs, and patient care at the St. Tammany Cancer Center—A Campus of Ochsner Medical Center.
