Christmas came early to patients of St. Tammany Cancer Center – A Campus of Ochsner Medical Center.
On Wednesday, the Covington facility was ground zero for a holiday celebration featuring crafts, reindeer games and a visit from Santa, who brought with him gifts for the children of cancer center patients.
“I want the kids here to be loving to each other and their families,” said Santa Claus, whose appearance was arranged by F.O.C. (that’s “friend of Claus”) Randy Ponthieux of Heritage Bank of St. Tammany “Most of all, I want to remind them to have a great time, not just at Christmas but all year long.”
Wendesay’s festivities were made possible by support of donors to St. Tammany Hospital Foundation, including Heritage Bank, Ruby’s Kids, Sunshine Coffee, Jersey Mike’s and the St. Tammany Cancer Center staff.
